Hi Cameron --
Is it just me, or does January always seem to last forever? The holidays are over, you’re working away at your new year’s resolutions (or not, no judgement!), and the winter nights are cold and long.
But January also gives us time to think about what we want for the new year. Maybe it's time for a career change or your thinking about going back to school. With MLK Day just behind us, you might be reminiscing about your service year (or reflecting on your current service) and wondering how to re-engage.
Our goal for 2019 - and always - is to support service year corps members and alums in all these areas: career, education, service, and life. We’re starting the year strong with new resources, guides, and events (see below!), and we’re looking forward everything else we have planned this year for you!
All the best,
Cali Moore Manager, Career and Education Pathways

In Memoriam: Harris Wofford (1926 - 2019)
It is with great sadness Service Year Alliance acknowledges the passing of a national service champion, former Senator Harris Wofford. Harris will be remembered for his extraordinary public service — marching alongside Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., advising President Kennedy on civil rights, leading two colleges, and serving in the United States Senate. Importantly, as a founder of the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, and MLK Day of Service, Harris helped make it possible for millions of Americans to serve their country, changing countless lives. Read our full statement on the passing of Senator Harris Wofford. Below are articles, posts, and videos that highlight the impact Harris had on national service, our communities, and our country.
