Prior to joining Service Year Alliance, Kelsey worked at the Council on Foundations managing virtual convenings, supporting the Career Pathways leadership development program, and otherwise assisting in the development of events for grantmakers.
With a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Classical Studies from Gettysburg College and a master’s degree from American University in Public Anthropology with a focus in archaeology, Kelsey is passionate about empowering people through learning from and engaging with history and culture. She also worked her way through college as a scenic carpenter for local theaters, and continues to use those skills to renovate her house in Maryland. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys board and tabletop games, hanging out with her husband and cat, and traveling.
