Armed with handmade, illuminated signs that read #LET US SERVE, Service Year Alliance volunteers and community teams will mobilize around iconic locations and beloved local landmarks sending a clear message to policymakers. Actions will take place across the country the week of July 29th- August 6th and in Dayton on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 7pm just weeks before the FY18 budget deadline-- creating a spark of momentum that cascades across the country during the first week of August recess. We’ll amplify the action by sending photos to target members of Congress and local reporters. If we’re going to break through in this tough political climate, it’s critical that we’re bold, creative, and step up our ground game. And in order to be successful, we need you with us! Join us at Proto Build Bar - 534 E 1st Street, 45402 - in downtown Dayton, Ohio at 7pm as we gather together for pizza, beer, and some sign-making. No tools necessary; just bring yourself!
