For the last Service Year Alliance service event of the summer we'll be continuing to work with New York Restoration Project to help improve New York's community garden spaces! This time we'll be in Brooklyn gardening from 1 until 3 and then head over to the complementary happy hour, provided by Bronx Brewery. It's a great way to spend a few hours outdoors and the happy hour at the end is an perfect reward! Make sure to RSVP on the website so that they know how many of us will be coming. Description from the NYRP page below:

Volunteers will help to build a small event stage, complete the construction of 3 raised beds in the northeast corner of the garden after pruning and removing an existing tree. These garden beds will be filled with soil and compost to prepare for planting.
Hosted in partnership with The Bronx Brewery, the volunteer event will conclude with a happy hour at the awesome Habana Outpost! Non-alcoholic beverages will also be provided. All levels of experience are welcome but the happy hour is reserved for our friends that are 21+ years old.
All tools including work gloves will be provided. Please wear clothes you can work outdoors in and closed-toed shoes are required. If you have battery powered drill, please bring it along charged!!
