Last weekend, over 60 service year advocates gathered in Washington, DC for the inaugural Service Year Action Summit to build the first-ever action team for service years.
On Monday, we heard from service year champions Rep. Seth Moulton and Sen. Tammy Duckworth about the urgency for saving of national service.

And on Tuesday, while thousands of service year advocates flooded congressional phone lines with thousands of calls, service year advocates from across the country met with 87 members of Congress or their staff on Capitol Hill, urging them to expand — not eliminate — national service programs like AmeriCorps, the Peace Corps, and YouthBuild.
Thank you to the dedicated service year champions who joined us. Your presence and participation was greatly appreciated and resonated across the Washington. It’s up to all of us to make sure we build on the great momentum and energy we tapped into last week and continue to leverage it in our work across the country.
Thank you again for your commitment to the service year movement. We look forward to continuing the fight together.
Yours in service,
Erin, Jon, Brandon, Laura, Stephanie, and Csilla
