Aaron Frumin is a three-time AmeriCorps alum, first serving with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) in 2007 and later as a Teach For America corps member from 2011–2013. Over the past two decades, he has worked alongside and led numerous AmeriCorps NCCC, State and National, and VISTA members in roles with the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity during the rebuilding of post-Katrina New Orleans. Those service experiences became a foundation for his professional and moral compass, broadening his understanding of community, exposing him to complex systems and inequities, and shaping his commitment to building institutions that expand access and opportunity.

Aaron is now the Founder and CEO of unCommon Construction, a nationally recognized workforce development nonprofit. Among his most proud achievements is that he has cut his own hair since 2007, a skill he first developed by choice and out of necessity while serving in NCCC.
