Adriana Laura
Michigan

Adriana is a proud AmeriCorps National alum who served two terms as a Volunteer Services Coordinator at Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County, MI (2020–2022). She accepted this role during her final semesters at the University of Michigan–Dearborn, earning her bachelor’s degree amid the COVID-19 pandemic. During her service, she engaged over 700+ volunteers and built strong community partnerships. She created mission-based content for all media channels and spoke at local, regional, and national levels. Her work supported the expanded access to safe, decent, and affordable housing for hardworking families pursuing homeownership in Monroe County. This experience helped develop her expertise as a communications professional grounded in nonprofit work and national service.

After her AmeriCorps terms, she was hired as the affiliate’s Community Outreach and Communications Administrator, where she worked for an additional three years. Adriana recently entered a new role as an Internal Communications Specialist at the Domino’s World Resource Center (WRC), supporting internal communications across the business.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, singing opera, tap dancing, reading, participating in her church’s community giving efforts, and exploring nature.
