Allison's commitment to service began with City Year New Hampshire where she supported students in building confidence and skills to succeed through in-school and after-school programs. Unwilling to have a permanent address just yet, she then joined AmeriCorps NCCC-FEMA Pacific Region where she helped people sign up for disaster assistance, worked with regional and national headquarters staff, and contributed to disability and language access initiatives. 

Allison is currently a transportation planner with a public agency in San Diego, where she continues her mission to improve access to opportunity (and mobility) for people of all ages and abilities. 

Outside of work Allison can be found taking pictures of transportation infrastructure and complaining that the beginner crochet videos on youtube have misunderstood the meaning of the word "beginner".
