Marissa served two times with AmeriCorps, for Reading Partners and AmeriCorps Missoula, MT. While participating in Reading Partners, she taught children in the local District of Columbia Public School system. During her time with AmeriCorps Missoula, MT, she served members of the Flathead Reservation and the local Missoula population, teaching young children STEM subjects and distributing STEM kits locally. Currently, Marissa works as a software engineer and continues to educate children on the importance of STEM and STEM careers.

Outside of work, Marissa enjoys reading, surfing, and exploring national parks.
