Mark served with Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity in Pendleton County, West Virginia where he coordinated the out-of-state volunteer program, served as onsite host to the weekly volunteer groups, and aided with development and programmatic tasks.

Over ten years later, Mark serves as Operations Manager for Community Markets Inc., a nonprofit in West Virginia, where he leads the team in increasing food security for underserved Appalachian families while supporting local farmers. His service year introduced him not only to nonprofit work, but also to West Virginia, and was instrumental in setting his life course. Mark lives in Jefferson County, WV with his wife and three children.
