Nicki served with Volunteer Maryland as an AmeriCorps member from 2011 to 2012, supporting volunteer management and community engagement across the state.

She now serves as Director of Development and Communications at Transform Mid-Atlantic, a nonprofit advancing civic engagement and social impact across higher education institutions in the Mid-Atlantic region, where she leads fundraising strategy, external communications, and partnership development. Her service year ignited a lasting commitment to amplifying the voices of those who serve -- a passion she channels as host of the AmeriCorps Connections podcast, launched in 2023 and now home to over 100 interviews with alums and advocates nationwide.

Outside of work, Nicki enjoys studying astrology and keeping up with the cosmos, and can often be found doing handstands next to any random tree she comes across.
