Sarah served with AmeriCorps at City Year San Antonio from 2015 - 2017, providing 9th grade reading interventions at the same school district she attended high school in, and creating a positive school environment through near peer mentorship.

Sarah now works as a manager at Communities In Schools of San Antonio, where she ensures that children have access to a caring adult to connect them to community resources and help them work towards their goals. Through her service year, Sarah learned the importance of meeting children's needs outside the classroom, so they can focus on learning.

As a new mom, Sarah is committed to ensuring service years are thriving when her child graduates from high school!
