James "Screal" Eberheart Jr. served as the Michigan Moonshot Ambassador with Lead For America's  - American Connection Corps, hosted at Merit Network in Ann Arbor Michigan, where he focused on digital opportunity and enablement, statewide.

He currently serves as Senior Michigan Moonshot Ambassador. Screal has expanded Digital Opportunity and Enablement statewide, Eduroam infrastructure in Detroit,MI, and led engagement to Detroit Housing Commission communities for Canopy powered by Connect 313 initiative, and scaled the Merit's LFA/ACC program from a single placement to five regionally positioned Moonshot Ambassadors across the state of Michigan all hosted at Merit Network.

Screal also brings in leadership within the nonprofit space being the Visioneer and Founder of M.I.N.D.S  — Motivating Inner New DreamS, a nonprofit built on four integrated pillars: entrepreneurship, mental wellness, community empowerment, and civic engagement, while also holding roles as National Team Lead for the American Connection Corps, a member of the Lead For America Alumni Board, and a member on the LeaderCorps AmeriCorps Michigan Alumni board.

His service years deepened a conviction he has carried his entire life — that systems change not when outsiders arrive with solutions, but when locally rooted people are resourced to hold those systems accountable from the inside out. That conviction shows up in everything he has built; "I can't lead where I won't go, and I can't talk about what I don't know."
