Tim served as an AmeriCorps Recovery Navigator in the Winchester, VA Office of the Public Defender in 2025 where he supported clients in recovery while working with attorneys and statewide resources to build arguments for more rehabilitative legal outcomes. His service year led directly to his current position as the Mitigation Specialist in the Warrenton, VA Office of the Public Defender.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from VCU in 2008 with a B.A. in Spanish, a minor in International Social Justice Studies, and a Certificate in Spanish/English Interpreting and Translation. He has spent nineteen years working overseas where he gained his expertise in cross-cultural communication, education, and training. When not in service, he can often be found on a hiking trail or inside a sweat lodge.
